Thing is before blade runner had cautionary tale aspect to it like hey if you don't mend your ways this is the polluted shithole you'll end up in. To me that was the case anyway, the main story is fine and good but the world that was presented was far more fascinating and scary to me. Like the background was stronger than the story. The rotten atmosphere, no animals. Earth is dead and humanity is fleeing to other planets. 

Now 2019 is around the corner, space colonization is not really happening, no flying cars but the climate is getting seriously fucked- ... and Atari is still well and alive in the world of BL... with this new movie Deckard's world has become an alternate timeline so the relevancy to our future lessened a bit. 

This is the danger of giving an exact date when predicting events. Soviet happy!

I'm from Indonesia: I've just finished watching this movie,. and it's now already becoming one of my top most favorite movie!

it's extremely VERY RARE to see this type of movie (genre)...which I always wish people could appreciate it more...

but in reality, again...this is not the type of movie for everyone, obviously... (not the typical "mainstream / hype" trending / action-superhero blockbusters type of movie)

futuristic, sci-fi, dystopian, deep, smart/thoughtful, philosophical, speculative, artistic, imaginative,...with many deeper meaningful layers & metaphors/symbolism...with a very unique & peculiar 'irony' & 'emptiness' feels & tones 

heavily reminds me of "The Matrix" trilogy, the recent "Ghost In The Shell" earlier this year, which again have always been my favorite movie genre!

will definitely watch it again for the second time (or perhaps even more)...because, for me personally,.it's really WORTH IT,.!!
