This film is basically a sequel to the movie Man of Steel and is the take-off point for the DCEU. It starts where Man of Steel ended. The movie focuses on the 2 most powerful heroes on Earth(in the DC universe). It focuses on what one thinks of the other and how their ideologies differ and how they are pitched against one another and what happens in the ultimate face-off between them.
Though the final battle between Batman & Superman is ultimate, but it it lacks that awe. The plot moves slowly and many of the questions are left unanswered towards the end(maybe they will be answered in the future). The only thing good about this movie is Wonder women. Though her role is short-lived but that's the most exciting part of the otherwise superb movie.
The movie does give teasers of the other Justice League characters but they do not play any major role in this movie(Yet..!).
The casting of Ben Affleck as Batman was the most debated topic, but undoubtedly he isn't as good as Christian Bale. He lacks the attitude of Bruce Wayne and doesn't live up to the mark. Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luther performs it nicely. He as psychotic, dark villain and Superman's greatest enemy delivers a subtle performance.
Final thoughts: If you are a die-hard fan of superheroes, you are definitely gonna like it for the sheer magnanimity of the movie and the characters. But for the other class of viewers, there's nothing new this movie offers so you may not enjoy it.
