2016 could not have asked for better to round off the year for Hollywood as Damien Chazelle creates this beautiful musical to put a smile on everyone's faces! A very colorful film with the best cast possible, this film could not have asked for better. But the most important bit of it was its story line. A film of two individuals chasing their dreams, La La Land accomplishes which most production houses have not been able to i.e. to differentiate between the motives of a film with a parallel love story running by it. The focus of the film is on point towards the cast and their journey's towards their dreams and how they accomplish them. This is by far one of my favorite films and although I loved Les Miserables, the two genres are incomparable despite being musicals. This movie has everything in it and it wins all the hearts without a doubt.
Emma Stone, cheerful, beautiful and one of my favorite, she continues to be excellent in her role. Her gimmicks are the ones you must look out for as they go hand in hand with the chivalrous, smart and handsome Ryan Gosling. Their relationship in the movie is beautiful, the way it starts and the way it carries through the movie and the way the movie ends, you will not see a better ending in any movie, and definitely not one you like so much as this. Both the actors were more than just show stoppers and they were simply spectacular with their singing, dancing and in the performances, simply amazing.
As mentioned, the movie is filled with colors and it does not have too much like Ram Leela but has the perfect combination of colors which pleases the eyes. It adds as the perfect combination to the beautiful locations chosen by the makers. LA has never seemed so beautiful and joyful on screen and kudos to the cinematographers for capturing the best.
